A Poem Is a Great Gift for Mother’s Day

When we think of our mothers, Mother’s Day and what to get as a gift for Mother’s Day, most people usually think of giving flowers, candy, a Mother’s Day card and likely a meal out together at a nice restaurant (if we live nearby Mom).  All of those would certainly be appreciated for Mother’s Day 2009, or any year.

As an added and very personal touch, a poem is a wonderful way to express what is in your heart about your Mom.  There are a number of beautiful poems that have been written with Mother in mind, or you can try to your hand at writing your own original poem that can really be personalized to your Mom.

If you write your own Poem, you can refer to personal aspects of your life — places you’ve lived, other family members, perhaps important events in your life as a child or later in life. Just remember to speak from your heart. It’s your time to tell Mom in words what she really means to you.

Whether you write your own poem or find an existing one you want to use, your Mom will definitely appreciate the added personal touch of a Mother’s Day poem.  Why not include a poem to your Mom for Mother’s Day 2009!

Mother’s Day is in May, Are You Ready For It?

Your mother has probably been taking sweet care of you, loving you, guiding you and solving all your problems ever since you could remember (yes, probably even before that). She has been at your side for all your ups and downs throughout your life. On mother’s day try some of following pleasant ideas to make her feel special – you’ll be glad you did!

Get her a bunch of flowers (carnations are the mothers day flower, but roses do well too!), with some candies or chocolates (unless she on a big diet) and a hand made personal card. Try to use your imagination to make a elegant card, even if it doesn’t look very professional your mom is sure to like it more than the one you will buy from a shop. Try to add a poem in your card. If you don’t most often write poems, find one online and quote the author on it. Make your card as bright as possible with all sorts of colors – make it orginal!

The second thing you can do on mother’s day is to give her a break from her (and YOUR) daily chores. Fix a meal all by yourself for her (or the family) and if you are not all interested in cooking (or good at cooking) go out and have a lunch in a restaurant. Keep in mind, on mother’s day of all sorts of the diners are full for lunch and dinner – so make reservations in advance.

Last , but not least, greet your mom with a “Cheerful Mother’s Day” in the morning with a big smile. Mom’s love getting conclusive feelings and emotion from their children, so say it will love!

Here are of all sorts and quick interesting facts about Mother’s Day:

1) In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Mothering Sunday falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday (March 22 in 2009).
2) North America celebrates Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May (May 10 in 2009).
3) It is believed to have originated from the 16th century Christian practice of visiting one’s mother church annually, which meant that most mothers would be reunited with their children on this day.
4) Carnations have come to represent Mother’s Day, since they were delivered at one of its first celebrations by its founder.

Might be a good idea to mention one or two of them to show dear old mom that you have put some thought into the day that celebrates how charming and loved she accordingly is!

Mia has ordered flowers every year for her mother for mother’s day. When she looks for [http://www.mothers-day--flowers.com/]Mother’s Day Flowers online she will ordinarily focus on a company that provides good [http://www.flower--delivery.net/]Flower Delivery as freshness is key.

I’m Sorry Mom! A Mother’s Day Poem

Mother’s Day Poetry,

I’m Sorry Mom!

I’m sorry for the troubles

And the worries I brought you.

I’m sorry for my mistakes,

I didn’t mean to make you blue.

When I was young and growing up,

Living in your home for so long,

I made many people sad,

I did  many things wrong.

So I thought that I could show you now,

By moving away and being on my own,

That I was finally straightened out,

I wanted to prove to you I am finally maturely grown.

But I havn’t done to well at that,

I guess it goes to show,

You never really solved it all,

You never really know.

I’d like to show you now,

I need to take the time to say,

Thanks for accepting both the good and bad,

I hope you have a Wonderful Mother’s Day!
